Soup recipes include tomato soup, garlic soup, tourin, French onion soup, garlic and egg soup, red onion soup among others. Some of the main courses recipes are coq au vin, cassoulet, boeuf bourguignon, navarin, chicken and garlic stew, slow cooked chicken with pepper, rabbit stew, wine steamed clams, and many more. Desert recipes include grilled coconut bread, tiramisu cheese cake, chocolate steew pie, caramelised apples, cherry cake among others. Selection of the foods is very important for French recipes since they require fresh and most tasty ingredients. The best of all the ingredients are the fresh one which mostly may be in season since their eating schedules are planned according to the season's produce. A good French recipe will give a list of ingredients and their actual measurements, cooking methods and styles employed in their cooking as well as the time it will take to cook the texture and flavor.
